Thanks to his agent, David Falk, Michael signed a contract with Nike, which offered him a line of products signed by his name. Peter Moon was the designer of Air Jordan 1 logo, representing the ball and wings. Shortly after the release of the Air Jordan 1, NBA commissioner David Stern, banned their use on the pitch. When Michael broke this ban, he was obligated to pay penalties. As result of this situation, shoes have gained even more popularity.
